About us
muenchencard.com is an independent guide and booking site for the Munich Card. The Munich Card is one of Munich's two official visitor cards: it gets you discounts at over 60 attractions, tours, restaurants and shops, including the Residenz Museum, Nymphenburg Palace, the Deutsches Museum and the Pinakothek galleries. It does not include free admission. The Card is issued by Munich Tourism and produced and sold by Turbopass. It's valid for 1 to 5 consecutive days, as a single ticket or a group ticket for up to 5 people, and can be combined with an MVV ticket for Zone M or the full M-6 network.
Whether the Card is worth it mostly comes down to two questions: how many partners will you visit, and will you be using buses and trains anyway? We help you answer them. We explain where the Card gets you a discount, how the MVV ticket works for individuals and groups, which zone you need and what to watch out for when you buy.
What this site is not
muenchencard.com is an independent guide. We are not the website of Munich Tourism or Turbopass, and we are not a general Munich travel guide; we deliberately leave out hotel bookings and tours that have nothing to do with the Card. We don't sell the Munich City Pass here, we only explain how it differs. We don't sell the Card ourselves either: bookings go through our partner Turbopass, where the current prices, availability and terms apply.
